The First Day of Summer: Visions of an all white affair

It is summer time and it is the official season of all white parties. So it is only fitting that I share these snap shots of these ladies from last years BET Awards for inspiration. Although the BET Awards is not an all white affair last year these ladies definitely made it white hot!

So I thought that these ladies frocks could give some type of inspiration for a future all white event for this summer. I personally have not gotten and invite to an all white party just yet, but I know that one is around somebodies corner. I had some ideas for those that will be attending prom this year. So in this set my thought process was to keep it simple and keep it fun. This little cocktail dress is so cute and I know the mothers out there would approve along with their daughters. I love the style of it and b/c it is just right for a teen going to prom and it is a classic style. The one thing you can say is that if you wear a cocktail dress with this shape it will remain timeless....what are you thoughts

So I wanted to share with you all some key items that you should have in your wardrobe. I consider all of these items show above as a go to item, not a lust have item. A black and white t-shirt will take you very far. You can put these with just about anything, and they can be dressed up and down. That little black dress that you wore to work today will also take you to happy hour and a dinner date. The white collar shirt will get you the job that you have been wanting but you can also put it with those hot jeans and tie it up and go for a comfy look just add boots. I'm saying all of this because all of these items can be matched with up and give you several outfit choices. These are the basis of your wardrobe and once you have these key items you can begin to splurge for the lust haves.

You can rock them with jeans or a cute dress. Whatever your style desires. This is defiantly a staple piece. What are your thoughts about them???

My Sanctuary

So I'm a total believer that your bedroom is your Sanctuary. You should be able to go to your bedroom and find some type of comfort and tranquil feeling. So I have started my mission of creating my sanctuary. This is what I am working towards for my bedroom. My vision is to bring in a base color that can handle the bold colors that you see above. I also want my room to have a since of romance or a hidden romantic feeling. I feel that my sanctuary is fun, playful, and romantic all in one. I will let you all know how this works out. Stay tuned.
